An effective submission should capture the interest of active researchers in Web search, data mining, and the Social Web, showcasing its significance even for those unable to attend the conference demonstration sessions. It should\n present and exemplify an innovative solution to a current or emerging problem, supported by a literature review, task analysis, or case study. The submission must address key points, such as the problem the system aims to solve,\n its target audience, the approach used to showcase the solution, the specifics of what the demonstration will involve, its functionality, comparisons with existing systems, and the potential technical or commercial impact of the\n technology, including its anticipated adoption timeline and context.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

We invite demonstration submissions that align with the topics highlighted in the WSDM 2026 Call for Papers. The Demonstrations Program Committee will assess submissions based on the originality of the technical innovations showcased,\n the complexity of creating the system, its potential significance, and its relevance to the WSDM community of researchers and practitioners. For submissions centred on case studies, evaluations will also consider the significance\n of the case presented and its applicability to other similar scenarios.<\/p>\n

Authors are invited to submit demonstration papers in English, adhering to ACM formatting guidelines and style requirements. Submissions must be in PDF format and should not exceed 4 pages, inclusive of diagrams, appendices, and references.\n Papers exceeding this limit or incomplete submissions will not be reviewed. Unlike regular WSDM paper submissions, demonstration submissions follow a single-blind review process, meaning authors are not required to anonymize their\n identities.<\/p>\n

Papers must be submitted electronically through <\/span>\n https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=wsdm2026<\/a> and select Demo Papers track. At least one author of each accepted submission is required to register for and attend the conference to present their demonstration.<\/p>\n

Accepted demo papers will be included in the WSDM 2026 proceedings as archival publications. Submitted manuscripts must adhere to the\n ACM authorship policy<\/a>. In particular, (i) each author must be the creator or originator of an idea in the work; (ii) each author must make substantial contributions to the work; and (iii) each author must be accountable for the\n work that was done and its presentation in a publication. The policy was recently updated to govern the use of generative AI tools in authoring papers.<\/p>\n

If an author submits numerous manuscripts to the same conference, it is less likely that one has materially contributed to all such submissions. To this end, we limit the number of submissions per author to 10 maximum. At least one author of each accepted demo paper must register for the conference (either 3-day or 5-day) to present the paper at the conference in person. Each paper must be accompanied by a paper presentation fee. If you are an author\n presenting more than one paper, you should pay a paper presentation fee for each accepted paper, but only one conference registration (either 3-Day or 5-Day). WSDM 2026 will be an in-person conference, with no provisions for remote\n presentations. If authors are unable to present their work for any reason, they are expected to find a proxy to present the work on their behalf.
